Oh no! Pagebound has had a glitch and all your My Taste books have been replaced with the exact opposite. What (up to 5) books would be displayed to show who you aren’t as a reader? These aren’t necessarily your least favorites, but books that are the opposite of who you are as a reader. Books you would not be found reading because it’s not to your taste.

I’m feeling an itch to start a series from scratch.. I know there’s plenty of quests and lists but I want to hear from my PB friends!! What’s your favorite book series (and how many books is it pls so I know what I might potentially get myself into lol)💭

First of all, thank you so much for creating this quest, @moski! This is one of my absolute favourite genres, and I had so much fun looking through the list. I noticed a few books that I think would fit the quest really well, so I thought I'd humbly recommend them:
The Animals of Farthing Wood by Colin Dann
Silverwing by Kenneth Oppel
Duncton Wood by William Horwood
They're all wonderful stories where the animals are truly at the heart of the narrative, and I think they'd make great additions to the quest.
(Also, now I have an excuse to reread some of these. 😄)

Heyo non-Brits!
A lot of people are using imgur to host images and GIFs on here it seems, and while for 99.9% of the world that's fine, here in the UK Imgur is entirely blocked for like 9 months now 🥲 means whenever we come across any Imgur post online, all we see is this purple image of doom:
I know many people are still going to use it, but it would be nice to be able to be more involved with knowing context or whole messages on here! I know I'm far from being the only Brit on here too 😄
For alternatives, I've had a great time with imgbb! It's been my main image upload site now since Imgur pulled out and it's been solid.

(Hope this post is okay to share) It's my culture's New Year tomorrow as the constellation of Matariki (Pleiades) rises on the southern hemisphere horizon.
This is a time to reflect, rest and reset. What do you want to leave and let go, what have you appreciated, and what do you want to carry forward?
Please treat this as a place to set new intentions or shed some weight off your shoulders, because there's been a lot of bs in 2026 and I want to extend my new year to everyone who needs a reset before January/2027 🫶
Traditions include honouring and expressing love for those who have passed, staying home/spending time in a place you feel at peace in, eating good food and setting intentions until next Matariki ✨️😊
💭I am planning out my HRCYED 3.0, decorating my home, having a potluck to celebrate the new year with friends, and setting an intention to spend more time moving, stretching, crafting and reading. I'm letting go of putting pressure on myself to achieve and instead replacing it with making space to revel and enjoy.
edit: kia ora koutou /hey everyone, thank you for engaging with this! It means a lot to share from my culture and I hope y'all stay well, curious and reading this year ✨️🫶

The other day I was thinking about how I’m way more likely to read my book if it’s a paperback, and it got me thinking, do other people also have a preference? Hardcover? Paperback? Ebooks? On an ereader? Or (diabolically,) on a phone? Audiobooks? What do you prefer, and what do you do most of your reading in?

Eyes that are so blue, in fact, they seem to glow against his deeply tanned face.
i cannot be the only one who thought of this:

why is it that people find blue eyes to be attractive? like it's just an eye color? i'm not the only one who finds them creepy right?

The cat distribution system has finally selected me 🥹
We found this stray black kitten under our house. I have decided to keep him. He has no mom or siblings as far as I can tell. He was all alone 😭
I need ideas for a name. Something gothic, dark academia, Halloween related etc. preferably book related but open to anything!

As I was writing my previous post, it made me think of all the authors whose books I’ve been wanting/meaning to read and not being able to! (Stupid, busy, life 😡). So. Here’s my question: who are some authors whose books you’ve been meaning to read for a long time?
Some of mine are: Sarah Adams-romance writer Courtney Walsh-romance writer (includes many seasonal reads as well!) Kristy Boyce-YA romance (includes many DND references, so I’ve heard, for video game lovers!) Madeline Martin-historical fiction author. Alexandra Moody-YA romance author. Pepper Basham-closed-door adult romances (read one of hers, but hoping to read more!) Melanie Dickerson-a YA historical fiction author. (I think she also writes fairytale retellings, but that might be Melanie Cellier?)
