Really glad I finally got around to reading this one! I will admit I did think there was going to be a bit more cannibalism here. As in literally eating the rich, but I feel like this book still brought out so many societal problems, especially revolving around immigration and class inequality. I will forever hate big pharma so this honestly just reaffirmed that for me.

Emily Antoinette wins my heart again. The opening line of the book was all I needed to hear immediately hooked. They were so cute and it was honestly much more slow burn than I was expecting which I really enjoyed. If you’re looking for something fun and lighthearted, while also touching on topics of grief, definitely give this a go!

My first book by this author and will likely be checking out others!

Fun book overall but I think I prefer some previous works of this author’s. The audiobook was great, though was not expecting there to be actual music and singing throughout!

I read this one because it said it was good for fans of The Lamb and We Used to Live Here, but I will say this one didn’t quite hit that mark for me. Overall an enjoyable book, but this book definitely seemed quieter than those two. I did like the stories of the townsfolk and how they interacted with our main character, adding their relatability to her story. I did really like the end of the book! No spoilers.

This was really cute!! I would say it bordered on the edge of a rom-com. Read this one for book club and overall everyone seemed to really enjoy it. I loved the cameos from Heather and Moth from Paige’s mothman in love series.
Favorite side character was definitely Grams! Now I’m going to need her back story with her own swamp monster love interest 👀

I really enjoyed this one!! I think I may have liked it a little better if it was a full-length novel, but I feel like I tend to prefer them over novellas in general. I always want more time with the characters. Particularly I wanted to know more about Natalia’s experience with Doris!
I am always a fan of sapphic longing and this definitely scratched that itch. Overall a good, quick read!
