how do we feel about lists that are pretty similar? i went to create a list, searched a few terms, didn't see what i was going to do, and made one. after, i realized i should have tried a different search term, and now see there are several lists like the one i created.
is this obnoxious? do people like having different lists of the same topics or do you get annoyed when you see more than one? just curious how people feel!

Do you use audiobooks to help you fall asleep? If you do, I'd love to know some of your favorites!!
I've used audiobooks to fall asleep ever since I can remember (something my mom instilled in me since I was a baby), and I know other people do too and I feel like it's a super niche part of the book community so I wanted to see who else does it!
Also, do you log them in pagebound?
I'll put my answers in the comments!

I used to read a lot of manga but kind of fell off in recent years. My teenage life consistent primarily of being obsessed with Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, and Fullmetal Alchemist, and as an adult I’ve enjoyed lots of BL, as well as shounen and seinen like my Hero Academia, Chainsaw Man, Witch Hat Atelier, and Blue Period.
Does anyone have good manga recommendations? They don’t have to be for me specifically, as I’m happy for this thread to be a hub for others to find manga too. What are your favourite manga from the past and the present?

How do you guys actually feel while reading dark romance? Because I feel like I’m constantly fighting myself while reading it. One part of me is hooked....the intensity, the chaos, the twisted dynamics… it gives a kind of adrenaline rush I can’t even explain (even though I’d NEVER want any of it in real life 😅). And then there’s the other part of me that’s deeply uncomfortable. Especially when a 17–18 year old girl is paired with an older man and the story tries to convince us it’s okay because she “consents.” Or when manipulation is romanticized like it’s just another form of love. I hate it. I genuinely do. And yet... that same darkness is what pulls me in. My journey with this genre has been confusing to say the least. My first dark romance was the L.O.R.D.S series,I read three books, enjoyed certain scenes, but eventually started hating it. Then came The Dark Verse series, and somehow, I loved it. Completely. (Yes, even though some parts still made me pause and question everything.) This series was really good🥺 And now… I’m back in the chaos again with Rina Kent’s Royal Elite series 😬 I’ve read two books so far after taking a long break. So yeah…...I don’t know if I love dark romance, hate it, or am just addicted to the emotional turmoil it gives me. Tell me I’m not the only one, what goes on in your head while reading dark romance?

Sooo I watched a movie yesterday, and I realise I cannot stand the "dead wife trope" Or .. the wife dying at all.
So I am here asking for any books that either have the reverse (dead husband trope, preferably without the wife moving on) or BETTER- none of them die, and have to deal with whatever situation- together

I finished the free preview chapters (1-9) and then didn’t really feel like spending 7 euros to read on. Just too insta-lust and bland for me. Meh. The pacing was odd too, entirely skipping over the opening of the café.
