    ā€A peddler of fripperies.ā€

i am learning so many new words reading this book and peddler and fripperies are speaking to me. the words the author is choosing is really immersing me into the time period of the story.

there are some CR books out there where its clear that the author was looking for a synonym to be different, but here, every word is chosen for a reason and does not feel out of place. i am really appreciating this.

I didn't start this book right after finishing the first one because I didn't like Jax, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I do want to know more about his childhood, though.
