Guess who picked up another book at the library during her lunch...! Me. It was me.
I wanted to pick up a non-fiction book before the end of November since I've only read 1 so far (The devil's highway), and I wanted to read another before November ends! I've heard great things about this book and the premise of this book seems really cool, so lets see how it goes! :D

I'm a big fan of The Financial Diet and Chelsea Fagan. I think she is very intelligent and has wonderful values and ideas about society, some of which were included in this story.
I enjoyed the discussion Alex and Danial had about why they made their different career choices and what it means in terms of support from and for their parents. The idea of feeling parental pressure to meet societal expectations came up a bit but I think the book could have delved deeper into it.
I also found that the theme of wanting to help a friend see that they are in an unhealthy relationship without pushing them away was interesting to explore.
I think I'm just not the biggest romance fan, especially not the early stages where there's lots of misunderstanding and fighting. This book didn't offer as strong of a secondary story with friendships and family as her previous novel, A Perfect Vintage, but people who are into things like enemies to lovers might enjoy this one.

listening to the audiobook this time and i can’t believe how much i missed out by reading it in text form vs audio the first time!! ray porter does a much better job bringing out grace’s personality than my brain did on its own hahah. i am giggling kicking my feet, it’s just such a darling book and i’m so glad to be experiencing it this way for my second read through!!
i can’t wait to see how ryan gosling handles the character, i feel like he might be the perfect guy here
