This book was very much just okay. It wasn’t bad, but also wasn’t great. I love house on the cerulean sea, so I thought I’d love this the same way, but I think I didn’t love the characters as much. I kind of hated the main character even when he was on his redemption he was very ehh to me. Some of the side characters were good, but I overall just felt like nothing was going on. It kind of just felt like listening to people having a super long conversation about death lol. I listened to the audiobook because I’ve had the book forever and couldn’t get hooked reading, so this was my last chance before I gave it a final DNF.

I was not expecting this book to be written in third person! Immediately more distance from Snow than from Katniss.
