We have a new app release available on iOS and Android as of this afternoon! Please update your apps to see the following updates (also available on web):
Public Roadmap We get a huge amount of feedback every day, and see all of your chatter in the Pagebound Club about requests and enhancements. One of our core values is transparency, and in that spirit we have released a public Roadmap to show everyone what we’re working on, what we have planned, and what has been released. Everyone can view this roadmap in the footer on web, or in the “more” menu on the app.
Official Feature Requests On the Roadmap, you’ll see a link to Feature Requests. One benefit of joining Pagebound Royalty is that you can submit official feature requests, which we will mark as “approved” or “won't do,” each with an explanation. Once work has started on a request, it will move to the roadmap. Pagebound Royalty members also have the ability to comment and like both roadmap items and feature requests. We have pre-populated the roadmap with things we’re working on through the end of the year, and added our most popular requests to the Feature Request section. While we accept and read feedback from anyone, we do not have the bandwidth as a 2-person team to respond individually; the Roadmap will give everyone the ability to see what’s coming soon on Pagebound, give us a streamlined and efficient way to respond to requests, and the feedback form is still available at support.pagebound.co to anyone.
Giveaways We've been working behind the scenes to put together a Giveaway offering which will go live early 2026. This means anyone on Pagebound will be able to enter Giveaways for physical, audio, and ebooks :) Authors of Pagebound: If you or anyone you know is looking for marketing opportunities, we'd love work with you! Check out https://support.pagebound.co/giveaways to learn more; we'd love if you shared this with your author communities as well!
Other Improvements In addition to various bug fixes, we also added a quick-link when you create a Progress Update (% bar on your home page) to add a comment to update your followers! This is a great place to share personal updates, what you think of the book so far, and quick thoughts (ex. "loving this so far"). The book forums are still the place to start more in-depth discussions relevant to the broader community.
Thanks everyone and happy reading, Jennifer & Lucy 💜💙

These books are always a good time for me. While this one felt like it meandered a bit and had just a touch too much stuffing to the plot, I enjoy Enola enough that I'm never truly bored.

Don't hate me but I'm really not liking this😭 it has some aspects that I like but they're so few in comparison to the ones I didn't😭 I don't like the writing, the plot "twists" or conflicts are simply too ridiculous to take seriously (I can give examples in the comments if anyone's interested), the world building is not that interesting, and the message feels so in-your-face. I don't usually mind the lack of subtlitiy, I actually love it in R.F. Kuang's work, but something in how it's executed here makes me roll my eyes😐 I can't put a finger on it exactly but if anyone else thought that as well pls tell me🫶🏽

"“The limping reverend!” Willem Thomlinsen called out with all the joviality he could muster, referring to my gait, impeded as it is by the three toes on my left foot that predecease me."
This made me laugh right out loud. I didn't expect this book to be funny.

We Will Rise Again is such a fantastic, ambitious, hopeful, thoughtful project, and the care with which the editors have taken to really lay out their thesis is evident. Part of me is a bit biased in that I think Malka Older (co-editor) is rad as hell, but this is also genuinely GOOD.
The decision to mix speculative short stories, essays, and interviews with authors and activists (and activist-authors!) was a great one. There's so much to mine here, so much to take away from all these voices. There are times where it's so easy (for those of us with the privilege) to stick our heads in the sand and escape for a while. And there are also times where the world we live in seems to be swirling down the drain with no hope of escape. This anthology chooses to face our world and show us that there is, and always will be, hope in resistance of ANY kind.
This was a much needed balm for a lot of the psychic wounds the world has dealt us all in the last decade, and a reminder to keep moving forward, head high and eyes wide. Very highly recommended, 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
Many thanks to Saga Press and NetGalley for the eARC to review. We Will Rise Again will be released on December 5th.

Post from the The Bloodless Princes (The Fireborne Blade, #2) forum
What I loved about the first book, and what this continues, is the weaving in of various stories and tales that expand on the world and dragon lore. This sequel in particular plays around with the idea of how stories are told in different ways, making us question what the truth actually is.

Do you guys take into account a book’s rating before deciding whether to read it or not? And if so, what’s the lowest rating a book can have for you to still want to read it? For me, if it’s a book I’ve never heard about before, I think anything below 3.5 is a bit discouraging, but maybe I’m too harsh😅

Hi! I’m pretty new to pagebound and loving it! I’m curious what the community thinks about listening to and audiobook whilst reading the physical book of the audio. I love doing it especially with Graphic Audio (if it’s available) because it gets me more invested in the world when I can hear the environment sounds or suspenseful music. What do you all think?

So you have a book you want to read - it's on the shelf of your local library, it's available as an audiobook as well as an e-book, and you see it at your local independent bookshop. What's your thought process in deciding which to go for??!

Since I just hit my Yearly Goal of 40 books read, I decided to count some numbers.
My total page count, excluding pages read from things I DNF'd, is 10,090 pages total!!
4/40 were short stories.
The first book I read this year was Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. I rated it 2.5 stars.
The 40th book I read this year was Guards! Guards! I rated it 5 stars.
The average length of each read comes out to: 252.25 pages!
The shortest read was Moncton at 17 pages.
The longest read was The Name of the Wind at 662 pages.
Neat.
