I liked it. It really seems like the books are getting a little bit better at developing the conflict between the love interests, their banter, etc. Plus the YEARNING. It was finally actually present in the text in the way that I've kind of been looking for, so what a delight!

I do have some discomfort with the representation of both more femme LIs in these past two books. I still can't quite put my finger on the reason why specifically, but it would probably require me to go back and read 3 & 4 more critically, and that's not something I'm really tryna do. Just be warned that, uhh, the femme rep could use some work.

I think my main complaint with this series is unfortunately going to keep being: "man, i wish there was more" in the sense that I wish the author went harder in the paint with Price's ED. Like let him be a stone in the sex scenes. Good sex ≠ cumming, and I wish that was more than just like the text telling us that he didn't bust some of the times instead of letting us be in the mix when it happened between them!!! It CAN be sexy!!! It CAN be fun to just make sure the other person gets off, and when most of the story kind of banks on the sexual tension and sex between the characters, and then gives us a VERY common experience of someone having ED, like let the sex include the ED!!! Idk, maybe that's just a me gripe, but like, I wish it did. I liked the character beat it had. I wish it had gotten to really shine on the page.

i enjoyed the subtle OCD rep. Not much else to say tbh, I thought it was really good start to finish. I liked the main conflict of the relationship, the meet-cute, the resolution. Just a good time start to finish, what more could you want?

idk i expected the yearning to be more,,,, Yearn-ful... Yearn with a capital Y, y'know? Like, it was present, sure, but there was never really long gaps of them starved for each other in the way I expected, I suppose. Turns out, the TV show was a really good representation of like, the book. A 1:1 you might say. I don't mean it negatively, I just, I don't know. Expected more details, I guess.
