i love the glimpse of life short stories. and these ones especially, they felt so human. they all combine those feelings of grief, longing, nostalgia, of the life that once was or could be. i love how no character is perfect, the feel so real.

For me the stories are wonderful to put yourself in different perspectives. not only the “main” protagonists but all the characters have a story to tell that isn’t being told but lives between the lines.

    amazing work.

Chapter 12 was amazing, exactly what i wanted from this book, i was totally immersed and felt/lived with the characters. There was emotion, decisions, stakes.

that being said the rest of the book (with a few exceptions ofc) felt a lot more tell than show. i found myself flying over the dialogues more so than reading them. i would have loved to feel more while reading. I also felt some parts quite repetitive.

i wanted to like so much more, there were so many beautiful quotes in the first one that i put in my book for beautiful words. not one sentence has made it in that book from the sequel. over all it felt a little fanfiction to me (which doesn’t necessarily mean the writing is not good it just has the vibe).

chapter 12 is so far the best chapter of the whole book. so many emotions, so much feeling. that is exactly what i was missing from the rest of the book so far.
