I loved the idea of this book, and Eve's story was great. Charlie annoyed me. I just didn't care about the characters.

very unique premise. it left me with a lot of questions. definitely not a thriller.

Honestly, as a hunger games lover and a recent love island viewer, the concept was intriguing. I liked the writing but I feel like the plot felt short for me throughout the book but it hooked me at the very end. I guess I was craving a little more action and intrigue?

That... Holy hell, what a friggin' rollercoaster ride.
Spoilers, also a bit graphic
Goddard really sowed his own destruction. Didn't even get to say his last words, just a quick removal of the head after a gut stab. Then a broken spine for Rand, and a brutal brain beating for Chompsky. It was hard to read. Satisfying, but in a really... twisted way.

I’m 22% into The Compound and completely hooked. The writing is sharp, the tension is building, and there’s this eerie feeling that something’s just not right… in the best possible way. I’m intrigued, suspicious, and dying to know more.
