I loved this! No criticism from me :) So cozy, so relaxed and featuring an unproblematic sapphic relationship. It makes me slightly jealous ngl. I want to be the one opening up a cute cafe with my (currently imaginary) girlfriend! I also love that it has a recipe at the back of the book- Iâm definitely going to try that at some point.

Fictional books that feel like a warm hug, featuring magic and whimsy and perfectly happy endings. These are lower on stakes and higher on good vibes!

I love that each chapter has its own cute little illustration at the start. I rarely see books that have chapter titles anymore and Iâm in love with this alternative. It gives a little hint as to the contents of the chapter and makes the book feel even more cozy âşď¸. I need to see this in more books đ

It was definitely a very cozy and enjoyable read! However I believe that a lot of the charactersâ personalities are underdeveloped and are just a list of stereotypes instead. I wished there was more complexity to the characters and for them to grow separately from one another- I donât think Larran was shown having a full conversation with anyone outside of Keila. I would have loved to see more of him and to see what heâs like as his own character and not just a love interest. I also wanted to see Keilaâs trauma more fleshed out and how she deals with it. That being said I feel like the world building and political premise is really cool and would have loved to see it explored more.
