Or what are some of your chaotic ways to bookmark?
I've recently found small joys in using cute Pokemon cards as my bookmarks! I dabble in collecting One Piece cards but not Pokemon so I'm not as attached but still love them. I got a bunch of bulk cards from my brother so I've just been slotting them in everywhere that I've lost track who's in where. I think I like the idea that I have cute little Pokemon living in my books now.

Years ago, this was making the rounds on Booktok as a great dark academia book. Where is the academia in this exactly? Sure, they're technically in school, but that is in no way the main part of the book. Maybe it'll be more central later.

2.5 stars. A disappointing ending to a pretty good series.
One of the main downfalls for this series is that it was just too long, especially for anyone who may binge read the series.
It is nearly 1,500 pages of back and forth for what was a bit of a lackluster ending that was summed up in the last 20% of the book.
I was more than aware that we would get a happy ending for Adrian and Nova because that's what usually happens. However, Adrian and Nova's meeting when Adrian is held hostage was such a letdown - I wanted one last big fight between Nightmare and the Sentinel.
Further, there was no retribution for the Council - did Adrian's Dad continuing running it despite being corrupted by the media, etc.?
There were way to many open endings. However, the epilogue makes me think there could be a spin-off series so maybe that's why so many questions went unanswered?

Not much to say is it genuinely one of the best fantasy books I’ve ever read. I also read A Day of Fallen Night and the Bone Season series… does Samantha Shannon have any other books I can explore?

I don't usually like YA but this is excellent!!!! The magic system is amazing and Bree is brilliant!!!

whyyyyy did they screw it up so royally? Do y'all think it might ever get rebooted to a series??
Honestly, an animated version would be so much better.
Alternatively, I can see Laika Studios doing something supercool with this.
