Hey y'all i'm buying books on bookshop org right now and they have a paperback version of Piranesi. i wanna know does anyone have this version and is the "Women's Prize For Fiction 2021 Winner" sticker removable?? Because if not i'm not buying it LOL i need to know 😭 This is why i always try and buy in person but i haven't come across any copies in my local Half Price Books yet so i thought i'd look here. i don't buy a huge amount of books, only ones i already love usually, so the cover matters to me when i do buy lol.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I do enjoy a children’s book every now and then. And recently I did find a book that I adored when I was younger and I do want to give it a re-read, but does it really count? Since the wording is so simple, the story is so simple, and I’m just worried that if I count it in my yearly goal, that it’s like cheating. Is it?

I love book tracking apps, and have so many for different features I love in each but sometimes I feel like that has made reading less fun for me. Like the reading streaks/challenges, how many pages you read in a day etc. I feel like I've started thinking of it as a chore, like oh I have to read to maintain my streak, and sometimes I just close the book when I'm done for my set pages per day. But on the other hand I absolutely love tracking my reading and having all those stats is fun for me, it's just that has all this constant tracking made me read less and made it less fun for me? Would love to hear opinions on this if you've ever thought like that!

I've been hesitant to start this book because of the allegations surrounding the author, so I'm approaching it by separating the art from the artist. These are still just allegations, he hasn’t been found guilty, but the accusations are wild.
I usually wait until I finish a book before asking questions, but do other readers ever avoid a book because of the author's real life controversies and choices? Just curious.
