This book jumped off the shelf at me a couple of days ago, so I’m looking forward to reading it! It sounds like Addie La Rue, but with a more sympathetic death, which I love! The prologue is beautifully written, so I’m very excited.

The best “Strange” book so far!
Uketsu has found his flow. I thought this book had a satisfying combination of mystery and story. It was longer and chunkier than the other books, which meant I had time to digest and puzzle things for myself before the reveal.
I admit I didn’t like the ultimate ending, but the rest of it was good and I’m glad I wasn’t left wondering about too many things!

Taking a break from the Ernest Cunningham murder mystery series to read a different murder mystery book 😅
A few chapters in and I’m already hooked. I never figure these things out, but I like how we’re not left in suspense for too long!

Finished it, and loved it! It’s a shame I read the 4th book first as I wonder if I’d have noticed any references and themes!
Now what do we all think about reading a Christmas book in March? Too soon?

Wow, I am absolutely racing through this! However, it does come with a downside and that is realising just how many times people are fossicking. Don’t get me wrong - I absolutely loved the use of the term the first couple times, but it’s got a bit ridiculous now…
Also I’m pretty chuffed to have hopefully figured out why “Archie” is relevant (hint; I used to be a Tumblr girl) .

I am now completely obsessed with this series! I think I preferred the bank robbery (#4) to #1, so will be interesting to see how this one ranks. Love the concept of a train - hope there’ll be some nice Orient Express Easter eggs.

I’m not loving this so far - it’s feeling like a bit of effort to get through each chapter. The hints of magic are nice, but also too abstract for me to really appreciate.
