  • Your soul in a book

    Hey everyone!

The other day I saw a post of someone (I unfortunately don't remember their username) that had started a book and had noticed so many details that immediately called to them, many things they loved being mentioned, and it got me thinking... I'd love to know what is the one book that encapsulates who you are as a person. It's a great chance for us to get to know each other!

What is the one book (or series) that captures who you are as a person? It could be personality-wise, mention of many things that you love or are a huge part of your life, etc. Pick one and let us know in the comments!

I'm going to have the best time learning about everyone and maybe even add some new books to my TBR! 🎀

This book was filled to the brim with notable quotes and insights. I actually tip my cap to James Baldwin for his characterization of a young teenage girl in love - he was right on the nose with Tish. As a Latina, he made me very uncomfortable with how his characters handled Victoria's experience/actions and how they spoke of a character who was as much a victim as Fonny was but in the end, I suppose that's the whole point - systemic racism is uncomfortable, unfair, and designed for none of us to win.
