I’ve been thinking about this piece of writing I did in my year 12 English class constantly. I decided to try writing it into a book. I was wondering if this is a good idea or if there is something I can do to make it better. My idea: A closeted transgender prince, raised and presented to the world as a princess, is burdened with the expectation of perfection and the inevitable duty of ruling the kingdom. Surrounded by rigid traditions and constant watchful eyes, he feels trapped within palace walls that deny his true self. Longing for freedom, he dreams of escaping the life chosen for him to explore a world beyond the kingdom-one where he can finally live honestly and discover who he is meant to be.
