Format read: audiobook
I am writing this tired but know that this was a devastating, beautiful read.
The rage and despair leapt off the pages. I found myself relating to Judith a lot. Not sure if that is a good thing or not but let’s not dive into that.
The trauma and topics that were spoken of in this book is horrendously underrepresented. Rarely spoken of, especially by folks in the Black community.
It’s happens. More often than you think. Burying it does nothing but cause more harm for generations to come. Not speaking on it leads to generations of the same thing.
I loved this book. I’ll hold it dear to me
