This book hurt me. Reads like self insert fanfic. DNF

bit of a nothing burger for me tbh! i love a dark romance but the misogynistic overtones from the love interest were not the right direction for me - although he did get less bad throughout the book, but it felt like loss of character more than character progression to me?
equally, i was sucked in enough to start the next book. it's kinda like old sit coms that you know aren't going to make you ask any big questions but feel like comfort food for the brain when you just need Something. also the sexual tension was pretty good (even tho it started way too quickly with seemingly nothing to prompt it)
