Not like anyone cares, but I'm DNFing this. I struggled for more than 100 pages and I can't anymore, I'm choosing to value my time a little more.
I don't care how good or gruesome it gets later on, it's not worth this feeling of wanting the book to be over. I get that the repetitive and overly detailed descriptions are intentional, but it feels like it could have benefited from an editorial cut.
This gave me an headache... I think I'll just watch the movie instead, maybe I'll like it better, who knows.

I'm trying to get into it, but the writing is borderline stream-of-consciousness (which I don't love), always flowing without much pause. There are so many names that I'm getting confused about who is who. I managed to figure out that Bateman refers to Patrick, and I think Tim(othy)'s full name is Timothy Price? I might be wrong.
But who is the narrator, the main character we follow? I'm feeling lost... Is it supposed to be like this starting this book?

Holy, Patrick's skin care routine is more complex than some girls' on tiktok. It felt like a whole advertisement section lmao I guess that's the point, huh.
