  • Sports Non Fiction?? 🏈 ⚽️🏀⚾️🥎🎾🏐🏉🏓

Wondering if y’all have read any good sports nonfiction lately? I’m a big baseball fan specifically and it’s a genre I’m wanting to branch into! Drop the recs in the comments!!!!

To pay the rec tax, I will say Jon Krakauer is a good author for outdoor and adventure non fiction!!!

How is the dnf situation so far this year?

The title may give away that I’ve been recently dnf’ing a lot of books (some I didn’t log here lol) due many reasons, some are: uni- I don’t like the mc- the narrator is… hmm - HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE - what a problematic romance - even though I read most of the book I actually don’t care - dude can we get a change of scenery, why are you still describing this dude being on bed (petty reason ik, also a point for who know this book) etc… So I got curious, how many books have you guys already dnf’ed this year, and what are some of the reasons 👀?

  • when do you dnf?

i can usually tell when i’m not going to get along with a book right off the bat (be it the writing style, the content, the characters, etc.), but my partner often encourages me to keep reading to see if i’ll like things more because historically, i struggle with expositions and as a new reader, if i’m not hooked within the first page or two, well…

so, when do you dnf a book? when is too early to dnf a book?

i find it basically impossible to make it halfway through a book if i’m already trudging my feet one chapter in. maybe i need to work on this, or maybe life isn’t that serious 😭

  • Happy Lesbian Visibility week!!

Hello friends! I love being a lesbian and it's my favorite week of the year. What is your favorite lesbian novel? What's your favorite thing about being a lesbian?

I have to go with Emily Austin as my favorite lesbian novels! And my favorite thing about being a lesbian is de centering men and mixing masculine and feminine qualities

Hoping this brings some joy and love to your feed :)
