Iām currently really interested in vampire novels after reading āCarmillaā by Sheridan Le Fanu and would love some recommendations :) I also wanted to read āDraculaā because i love the adaptation with Keanu Reeves so much, but since I already have a lot of classics on my TBR, I would especially appreciate some more modern vampire novels ( I already read āMy roommate is a vampireā by Jenna Levine so that one is out).

I love a supernatural romance, but usually when I see a F/M human x monster/creature/beast/supernatural being pairing, the monster is almost always the MMC!!! I mean no disrespect to all the human girl x 100 y/o fae, 100 y/o vampire, angel, werewolf, demon, fish-man etc etc. I have read and loved many, and I know there are 500 beauty and the beast retellings for a reason.
But I want to see a man pining over a terrifying woman!!! I want a reversal of the usual situation where the FMC falls for the man because of or in spite of his monstrosity, and the MMC learns to accept/feel deserving of love.
I donāt mean situations where the FMC is only supernatural in a hot way (i.e. the little mermaid where sheās pretty and non-threatening throughout). I do have a soft spot for when the MMC is supernatural but the human FMC is objectively scarier, but thatās not exactly what I mean either.
I will also accept queer recs with monster girls or trans/nonbinary folks, though I have a few of those already (Ex. Someone You Can Build a Nest In (sapphic)).
So please, give me your favorite scary/monstrous girls! I am BEGGING someone to come in here and say, āOh what a terrible oversight, here are 10 recs that do this exact thing!ā If I get enough maybe Iāll make a list. š
Iāll add the few recs I have so far in the comments.

A book of your choice is getting an adaptation and you have been put in charge of it, congrats!
1ļøā£ What book is getting an adaption? 2ļøā£ Is the adaptation going to be a movie, a shorter TV show (8-12 episodes) or a full 22ish episode season? 3ļøā£ Are you casting established actresses and actos for the main cast or open castings? Do you maybe have a main cast in mind? 4ļøā£ Or: Would you prefer an animated adaptation? In that case, which existing movieās/showās art style would you want? 5ļøā£ What is one change, however big or small, you would make? 6ļøā£ What is a plot point or scene you are absolutely not willing to change and want to adapt 1 for 1? 7ļøā£ What song would be the soundtrack (or at least will totally be in the adaptation)? 8ļøā£ Last choice to make: What rating will your adaptation have?
Congrats, your adaptation has been created! See you in front of the TV!
Little bonus: 9ļøā£ Go to a random number generator online (1-100) and see that your Rotten Tomatoes score would beš

I know a lot of people will say JKR, Colleen Hoover or other very big problematic authors for obvious reasons, but if there're any more niche ones or weird reasons why you can't or refuse to read them, tell me.
Mine would be Mia Ballard bc whether the allegations that she is assisted with A.I are true or false, I saw the counter of how many times the word 'sharp' was in Shy Girl and....I cannot handle that.

So, I have a question for you: Whatās the most beautiful bookstore you have visited?
Last night I was thinking about bookstores and started to remember the most beautiful bookstores Iāve ever been. When my husband and I visited Las Vegas, we went to a tiny bookstore called The Writerās Block and honestly? It was so beautiful and cozy, the vibes, the decoration, itās like a tiny maze and they even had a pet bunny š° I loved it. Also, in Mexico City there are bookstores called āEl Penduloā and most of them are also very beautiful, one of my favorites in all Mexico, they also have restaurants in all of their bookstores and honestly the chilaquiles are BOMB! š®āšØ
Oh, there are a lot of new people I donāt know, Iāve been gone lately, so, HI Iām Miawgical (Mia for short) and Iāve been here for a while (the website only era) and I know a lot of people from back there, but now there are so many of you š§” So, nice to meet you all āØ

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some recs for fantasy books. My spouse recently realised that they are genderqueer (transfem/nonbinary) and I've been looking for books that they may enjoy where they would feel represented and understood. I have read and enjoyed a lot of genderqueer fiction but I realised very few of them have feminine protagonists, so if anyone have recommendations for novels with transwomen or feminine nonbinary main characters, I would really appreciate it! They love anything fantasy or magic, adult or YA doesn't matter.

What is one of your book icks that you feel like you haven't seen others talk about? Like things so unique to you and your tastes?
For me its rich boy ennui. Books that touch on just how hard it is to be so rich you don't know what to do with your life. Even when I know that is part of the story and the message, I just can't stand it. Examples of this include The Great Gatsby, Dorian Gray, The Secret History. It kinda sucks because I like the dark academia vibe but hate the ennui. It can be hard to find dark academia without rich boy ennui.

Just a fun question on my mind! I have plenty 5 stars books but I'm definitely not looking forward to rereading some of them lol. Be it 'cause of angst or the massive character developement šāāļø

Is this a shameless post to find more Romantasy recs... it absolutely is and I'm not ashamed to admit that šš not really interested in any of SJM series either. I've read a lot of Romantasy books last year but I'm always looking for more!
