I was worried that this was going to be really predictable as far as planning and execution of war tactics, and while maybe the planning was a little on the nose in some spots it pretty much always got “carled up” so I never really knew what was coming next.

Honestly the loss of a half of a point in quality is more due to the quality of the print edition than of the actual writing. All the other books in the series have very thick paper and heavy bindings, and this is thinner with a lower quality construction all around. I actually had to return the first copy I bought because it was falling apart before I started reading (and had already been when I bought it but I didn’t realize it then lol.)

YAY! I like that this had more of a fluff to smut ratio than heated rivalry did. I like that they had to explore what they really wanted and not just how to get through it any longer. The commissioner can catch these hands and so can Montreal, but overall happy ending to a generally feel-good book.
