Decided to pick up this book as it was mentioned alot under thriller recommendations on tiktok. I dont really have expectations for it but the premise seems interesting. Right now the story is just fleshing out the main sisters and the backstory behind the missing girl. Sometimes I am not really a fan of multiple Pov's in books because it can get boring and/or confusing. So far, seems okay. I am interested to see where it goes.

Who would it be?
For me it would be Moiraine Sedai (Wheel of Time series). She is a badass witch and also very hot. 🥵 I’d love to have her mind.

After reading 'strange pictures' by the same author, I decided to read this book since I had really enjoyed 'strange pictures'. However, I felt the plot was a bit lackluster and not as gripping as the other book mentioned. The floors plans were thought out and the mystery behind them is what kept me coming back to read it, however that is also a part I had issues with.
The main issue I had is I felt the story behind the houses were a bit far fetched and the houses mystery was spoon fed to us, compared to 'strange pictures' where you as the reader were able to piece things together yourself. This made the story lose its sense of mystery, as a lot of what the characters were guessing about the rooms stories were like 90% correct so it's like.... where's the room for me to figure it out as well.
It is an unsettling story, which had me glancing around my own room whilst reading. Uketsu I feel is a good atmospheric author, who hasnt failed in getting me creeped out whenever I have read his books. However, if I had read this book before 'strange pictures', I would have probably given it a higher rating.
I just find that the mystery behind the houses were a bit dumb, so even if the mystery was not as spoon fed to us, the actual reasoning behind the houses room structures were too farfetched to have even guessed in the first place, which just makes it not fun?

I have not read a book that has contained pictures in a really long time 🤣 however, this book was really interesting and I finished it within 2 days with breaks. It was hard to put down and had a plot twist I was not expecting.
All the characters narratives were nicely woven in together. Usually with some books, you can easily get lost with different characters POVS. However, I found with this book that it was easy to keep track of everyone and as it progressed, I enjoyed piecing different narratives together to get clues on the story.
I really recommend this book to those who love visually figuring things out as well as a solid story. It is a quick read. The pictures were creepy and it was probably not a good idea I only decided to read this book at night 😅 5* book!
