Lovelovelovelove (except also what the fuck to the ending, I need the next book now)
The writing was so good, fantastic descriptions of the people, environment, scenes, but especially the emotions, like grief, depression, anxiety, love. Chef’s kiss.
The characters are great, they make me laugh and feel very real, and didn’t annoy me which I loved.
Alex and Ophelia’s relationship was really enjoyable to read. I kind of wanted more enemy in the enemies to lovers but it was realistic enough (and the rest of it was so great) that it didn’t really put me off at all.
Would highly recommend!

So far phenominal writing, great descriptions of things (esp things like depression, anxiety, grief, etc.) I actually enjoy all the main characters, good pacing. It kinda lacks enough enemies vibes for this early on but everything else makes up for it. I also kept thinking to myself “an exclusive school in Scotland with 4 distinct houses you get sorted into… seems familiar…” but also it’s nothing like that which is guess isn’t a bad thing

Very interesting world building so far, although I’m stumped as to six’s train of thought to use the knight to execute her plan
