Finished this last week, finally getting into Percy Jackson :). I can already tell itās the type of series I would have really enjoyed at a younger age and Iām kind of sad to have missed out. But itās never too late and Iām currently reading the second book! I am having fun with the writing and Percyās sarcastic comments, if you think you are too old to get into these books, you are mistaken.

I really loved the single dad trope in this one. Watching Archer try to be present for Olive, even after only finding out she existed so suddenly, was really sweet. š He may not have felt instant fatherly love, but seeing him slowly grow into it made it feel more real, and thatās what mattered. š«¶
When Iris entered the picture, I already knew she and Archer were going to end up together. But honestly, after reading three books in this series already (this being the fourth), I was starting to feel a bit tired of the fast-love kind of romance. š¤¦āāļøš© Like⦠how are you already crushing on your boss when you just met him? š
The pancakes though. These townspeople choosing their old pancakes over the revamped version from a world-class chef had me shocked ā¼ļø and then finding out it was just pancake mix the whole time??? PLS š absolutely wild!
Overall, it was a quick, light read that didnāt require much brain power. Perfect for a cozy afternoon when you just want something chill and comforting to read š„āØ

I feel like the books in this series like to showcase fast love so much. Like,,, can people really fall in love that fast that often? š Or is it only in this town? š
