I run the "get to know me" staff board at my library and I recently asked them this question! I loved hearing their answers, and I thought it'd be fun asking it here!
What book would you take to a deserted island (in other words, if you could only ever read one book, what would it be?)
Mine would probably be Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir.

look, i get that the point of this level was to be confusing, i just think that point could have been made without bogging down the reader with info dumps they purposely couldn't understand. it really started to feel like a slog towards the end. however, the character development and world building in this one were A+. i'm eager to see what is up next for everyone

I've seen a few videos on my TikTok fyp discussing rating books you DNF. I haven't ever, especially because I'm only getting 1-2 chapters in sometimes. But, I saw a comment saying being able to get through a book is obviously the objective, so why wouldn't you leave a rating about why you couldn't do that? That got me thinking about it again for the books I do get a decent bit through (I recently got 50% into a DNF). I think Pagebound also provides a unique opportunity to give that feedback in the feed rather than a review. What do you think? Are you rating DNFs? Only rating them if you get to a certain point or if it's THAT bad?

a strong 4 stars for what felt very much like a set up book! this one focused much more heavily on character and relationship development and the plot and humor felt like it took a bit of a backseat. despite that, there were still so many crumbs dropped that have me itching for the next book
