This book is definitely about wolves. A lot of wolf stuff. All the time. Wolves.

English is not my mother tongue and I find some words hard to understand. They are probably very British ?!? It makes it harder to get into the story which is a shame

I can definitely say I've never read a book quite like this. I'm still getting used to the style. It's not... Bad. It's just very different and sometimes I'm not sure what I'm even reading, the inner thought stuff is hard to comprehend. But I am intrigued.

May or may not be considering DNFing at 3% ..... This has pretty good reviews where I've looked but this is underwhelming to say the least

This book is both well-written and also not that well-written. Beautiful prose but has pacing issues plus too many different stories trying to be told at once.
There is a cast of many intriguing characters and only a few of them get even the slightest back story. I don't usually feel this way about side characters, and the book is long enough as it is, but might have enjoyed more discovery of who they are. I feel that if you're going to introduce so many side characters that clearly have lore, you should try to include as much of it as possible. Maybe that's just me.
Going off of that, there are just way too many plot points happening. This very much could have been a multi-book series and it would have felt better, but instead the book drags you through so many extended details about stuff that could have been left off... Perhaps less stuff "happening" and more character development?
And the end was the largest disappointment of all, unfortunately. Painfully rushed and incredibly unsatisfying. Truly could not believe that there was no teaser for a second book at the end. I know there's a collection of short stories, but really this book suffered from trying to shove too much into a single novel.
