I'd love if in one of these fantasy tournament stories the underdog, mortal girl just gets immediately killed. Like, all the training leading up, and the poor orphan back story, and then, oops, she's fighting against immortal vampire warriors so obviously she's not going to win. I just think it would be a lil funny
