The writing feels like the author is trying too hard to explain the narrative, rather than just immersing the reader in it. The characters are so severely flat and feel like they were copied & pasted from Six of Crows. I’m sure the story could be good, but the writing does not pull it off at all. I’m seriously considering DNFing. 😭
