I was told this book was emotional but jeeeezzz
This is what I would say in the truest form is “devastatingly beautiful”
I’m immediately looking to buying Kite Runner next time I go to a bookstore but also my heart needs a break❤️🩹💔🥲😅

One word: MASTERPIECE!
This book must be a required reading for any courses about races.
And as Ifemelu’s mother would say, “The God blessed me with the decision to start reading this book.” 🙈🙈🙈

Oh man, it must be a bit depressing to get stuck with Nuri at these difficult times. Even if the people around him are helping him to keep his spirits up despite the situation, he has his way of ruining the moment. I get it, the situation he and his wife are in is really tough, but i don’t think that should totally kill the little joys that life still brings.

I really don’t know what to say. I have so many things in mind and it takes a writer to put my thoughts into words and organize them.
If you read this post when reading this part, I hope you help me organize my thoughts.

This part reminds me so much of myself. Struggling with a new culture without knowing anyone. Trying to adapt and blend in. Being broke but never wanted anyone to worry about me.
I can relate a lot to this book even though I’m not even African.
