The audiobook of this is the book that got me into memoirs. Something about them being read by the author thatās just super compelling compared to reading the physical book alone.

Low peril, low stakes, big cuties: Cosy Fantasy
You want a fantasy book without too much stress and a guaranteed happy ending? Maybe magic and a muffin? Or talking creatures drinking tea? Sentient houseplants who are occasionally bossy? I gotcha. š

Everything in me is telling me - in the same way that when you hit a nice, calm part of a scary game and you decide to just turn it off rather than subject yourself to more scariness (ok that might just be me, but whatever) - to stop reading this at page 180. I feel like this is the calm before the storm and the rest of the book is about to be a nightmare generator š«

This book feels like a cozy video game to me? I keep thinking of harvest moon or stardew valley. itās so cozy and cute but then also suddenly itāll mention something so disturbing I have to do a double take š one of the most unique books Iāve read in a while, maybe I need to give fantasy an honest try outside of series like ACOTAR or fourth wing that gave me a bad impression of the genre
