I did a search for this topic but I would really like if our Reading Goal widget was pinned to the top of our activity feed instead of being at the bottom. It is something I check every so often and having to scroll to the bottom of my feed to see it seems counterintuitive.

The finale to Murderbot's first arc, this was a fantastic journey. It was satisfying to see all the pieces come together from the first three books. It was also very fun to see the characters from the first book again with some of highest stakes so far (due to Murderbot caring about the fate of Dr. Mensah so much).

For a robot that “doesn’t have feelings,” Murderbot’s existential dread hits harder than your existential crisis playlist. I really enjoyed this cathartic romp that’s 50% explosions, 50% therapy via plasma cannon.

This was a very good culmination of Murderbot's journey so far. Introducing Miki and Don Abene as foils to Murderbot and Dr. Mensah, respectively, was such a great choice as Murderbot struggles with what it wants to do next. Miki is also a very interesting narrative foil as a bot who has never been mistreated by humans and is very bright eyed and sincere. When the climax occurred, it wasn't surprising but expected give how Wells demonstrated the genuine care between Miki and Abene.

Introducing a whole new supporting cast for the 2nd book is no easy task but Wells does it so well. I really enjoyed ART and the trio of humans that Murderbot ends up begrudgingly (yet genuinely) trying to keep alive from an obvious trap to murder them. The book is a super breezy read and very enjoyable.

Originally started reading this after the book went through my friend group and I watched the first episode of the tv adaption. These books are so fun and I enjoy Murderbot's very biased perspective as it navigates this world and it's complexities of human groups doing very dangerous space things while Murderbot tries to keep them alive. I also really applaud the author for successfully introducing different supporting casts and having you come to like them by the end in each book. That is a very impressive skill, especially in such short books.
