I just watched a video essay on the bad prose epidemic in traditional publishing and itâs truly made me appreciate how good the prose is here.
Example: âAnd had he lungs, Dara would have choked on the miasma of rot that clung to the island.â Just so evocative!!

This book had me pacing around my living room giving my cats a play-by-play. So many of my theories were confirmed, so many new ones have formed, THE ENDING???? These characters have consumed my every waking thought. Itâs past my bed time but Iâm starting the third book immediately.

I have always heard people talk about how evil Cathy is but so far Iâm supporting her rights and wrongs idk! Adam doesnât listen to her, doesnât treat her like a person, and overall is kind of an idiot đ I hope she gets more evil tbh sheâs so interesting to me

The last 100 pages were so crazy that I moved the sequel up from something I might read the summer to my next couple weeks.
This is the most exciting fantasy series Iâve read since the Ember in the Ashes. Turns out I really love stories about djinn and Arabian folklore!
