A really sweet and thought-provoking read. Read this in a sitting, totally lost in the story and forgot time was passing! Interesting use of religious figures (God/the devil) which you’ll rarely hear me say. Has its own voice, that’s for sure.

Absolutely awful. I have never dnf’d a book before this one but I genuinely couldn’t read another page of this slop. I can’t believe I paid money for this.

You can’t really ask for much more to close out the trilogy. This was amazing. I’ve read these books countless times now, and at many different ages, yet always seem to be taken aback by Suzanne Collins’ ability to tell a story of substance and execute it to the finest detail.

How my notes app looks when I feel like being deep. Although this did get overtly misogynistic in the last fifteen pages.. I don’t do that. Take that out and I enjoyed this lmao this guy was a looney tune, first ever hear me out clause??

I went in excited to read this to feel a sense of community and guidance, the Australian author feeling like a bonus attribute and rare relatability I needed to engage with immediately. But it was slow to grab me. For about the first third of the book, my rating was teetering around a 3/5, which I would still consider somewhat high. I appreciated the author’s perspective and vulnerability, her fun pop culture references kept the tone light and digestible — but I hadn’t found that guidance I was hoping for yet. It was comfortably surface level. Midway through the book, it really kicks off. It feels like your older cousin has sat down and spilled every crevice of her mind out to you to as a healed woman. I love it. Before I had even finished this, I was making a list of all the people I want to recommend this book to. Overall, a very worth-while read! 4.25/5 🌟
