Well this was all sorts of intense. The literal haunting of Andrew’s grief is at times more stifling than the excessive descriptions of the Southern heat. But it and the characters feel real as a result. I felt like I was often encroaching on intimate moments of someone’s life that I shouldn’t be privy to.
As many have said, the pacing of this story can feel a little disjointed, particularly in the repetitive nature of the beginning, but it’s worth it. This story will stick with me for awhile.

Seed #44416. This was a lot. I am horrible when it comes to picturing orientation when it comes to setting description so this was a maze for me in every way. But I loved it. The concept and its implications were both fascinating and horrifying. There was a lot of great setup and hints/foreshadowing that kept me invested.

I would love to discuss variances in the story with anyone who has read other seeds. I am just so curious.

I wish there had been more development with the characters prior to them first venturing into Downstairs, but I was satisfied enough with what I got to enjoy an emotional attachment. I am in fact emotional as I am writing this.

Highly recommended to fans of House of Leaves and anyone who wants to get lost lol.
