reading in stereo
from fiction to memoirs and everything in between, all of these books were written by (mostly recognizable) musicians!
As always, recommendations for additional titles are super appreciated! š«¶š»

I fear the audiobook narrator dampened my enjoyment of the book. Its a really good concept and decently written.
At times the characters get annoying, and that exacerbated by the āvoicesā the narrator puts on.
I do love the genuine action/suspense of finding out who Jane is and how to get her home, and it feels so central to New York so itās quiet immersive :)

Okay, I need to ask anyone whoās listened to the audiobook. Does anyone like Mylaās voice?
The story has had her dominate the last few pages, talking with too much authority to move the plot forward and both has been annoying (her voice and her explaining whatās happening instead of August coming to that conclusion)

āSometimes she laughs, remembering making herself sick on too mych fried chicken from the shop down the block and her mom mumbling āyeet hayā at her disapprovingly even as she patted her head and brought chrysanthemum teaā
This has to be the sweetest and realest memory from Biyuš

I do love the messiness of this book and how relatable it is (despite the age gap of me and Dolly)
Its such a quick read but as I was audiobooking it I found the recipes were not that relevant or something Iād ever try to recreate lol
