This was absolutely delicious. I LOVED our main girl Harriet, she is hilarious and made me laugh on several occasions. I really enjoyed the writing, and the banter between Harriet and Alexander was delectable. Some people say that this book is too long, but I didn’t want it to end if I’m being honest. This was stunning.

“The woman before him had none of her sister’s silliness. Yet something about her struck him as far more dangerous.” 👀👀👀👀

Wow. This was phenomenal. This was beyond thought provoking and engaging. When I read the description of this book, it felt dystopian, but reading it felt so real. Like it was already a part of every day life. Our main character Natalie feels so REAL and I love that about Sarah Anderson's writing. Is she deeply flawed? Yes. Is she unlikable at times? Also yes. But she is REAL. I felt like I could just reach out and touch her face while reading this. The prose is immersive and stunning. I also really appreciated the themes in this novel. Bodily autonomy, feminism, pregnancy, infertility, etc. The last few chapters of this novel felt like a warm hug. I thoroughly enjoyed this and I will be getting a physical copy when it comes out. Thank you Netgalley.
