I'm going on a book buying ban to reset my relationship with buying books, get more intentional and have my owned TBR (both physical and ebooks) cut at least in half.

Here are my rules: [Ban ends at 20 books on my owned tbr - I'm at 44 atm]

• no buying books, physical or ebook or audiobooks -arcs are allowed but only one at a time (no applying for multiple arcs at a time😅) -books in a series that I already started are okay (so I don't get behind🤓)
• I've been doing an indie review series on IG and I want to continue but I'm only allowed to buy another indie book when I'm done with those I already have (you get the spiel 🙈) ‐books on my wishlist that I've already read but want to own a copy are fine too (if I read it from the library and loved it so much that I want to own a copy to reread✨️) -and therefore, books from the library are fine too, but I want prioritise books I already own and get the audiobook from the library as a support😌 -gifts are fine too (as I don't receive that many books as gifts so it wouldn't have a big impact🤔)

Here are my thoughts: especially in the last year I read a lot, like a lot a lot, but my little shelve of unread books did not get smaller and it bothers me. I picked up a lot of books in sales impulsively and never got to the books I actually had intended to buy. I don't like this behaviour of mine and I'd like to fix it to a more intentional process. Any thoughts? Is someone on a buying ban too? What are your rules? 🙈
