Well organized and well researched. Drived the point home again and again bit Zuboff gets a little too deep into over explanation and repetition a few times in an attempt to make it accessible to all people of any age. It may be an effort to make it future-proof as well since something simple like Pokémon GO is obvious to us but in 100 years who would know about it?
A very important read that would should take your time with. We aren't the product we are the resource still. They're just extracting it from every aspect of our lives instead of just our activity and efforts.

Pulls absolutely no punches. Name drops people and corporations for research and blame. Calls out the growing trend of dooming and cynicism and backs it up. When I read the title I didn't think "realism" would be referring to this but I'm glad it does. It's a deeply important topic now a days and I think everyone should read this.
I will say though the later chapters are weaker. The implication that mental illness outside of depression is caused by capitalism is iffy at best in the final chaper.
