It's my first time reading Wuthering Heights and I'm struggling! I'm not sure who is who (are there 2 Catherines??) or what is going on, and I don't know if that's just being early in the book or if it will get better. I love character driven books and drama but am having to read SparkNotes summary at the end of each chapter to make sure I'm understanding. Is it worth it? Should I keep going?

The first three chapters are so confusing for me to read, my reading comprehension is super challenged.
It also took me three chapters and reading part of the foreword (contains spoilers that's why I skipped it first) that I imagined the narrator wrong! 😅 Supposed to be MR. Lockwood when I thought it was a sassy, brutally honest woman (I also thought this was Catherine Earnshaw's perspective for some reason).
Had a talk with my mother (who's a Wuthering Height's fan) to get things straight. Luckily, the narrator's just a reader-insert so I'll just stick to my female narrator 😂
