Okay, I know itâs a hot take to give Aristotle a 3.5, but TO BE FAIR, this is a fragmented version of what were basically just notes he wrote either for himself or for his students and has parts which are entirely nonsensical. So itâs a bit of a slog. Even the translator was often like, âwe donât really know what this means.â Itâs interesting to get a glimpse into where so many components of storytelling originated, and it DOES have its uses, butâŚâŚ.. 3.5

â(i) First and foremost, goodness. As was said earlier, speech or action will possess character if it discloses the nature of a deliberate choice; the character is good if the choice is good. This is possible in each class of person: there is such a thing as a good woman and a good slave, even though one of these is perhaps deficient and the other generally speaking inferior.â
hm. okay. i just wanted to know a little about classical storytelling!
