From stolen centuries to days that echo themselves, these books breathe time travel into the weave, unraveling the seams of time and lingering in the threads that slip free.

Listen, I want to like Torrey Peter's so bad but I just can't
I only slightly liked her debut, Detransition, Baby. And I thought I would like Stag Dance more because I love literary. But that was not the case
It suffers from the problem where some stories in the collection were better than the others, and the ones that weren't as good really dragged down the book
Besides one moment in The Chaser, none of the stories really wowed me and I was just reading to finish the book, not enjoy the story :///
And I don't mind Torrey Peter's writing style, I just don't think her endings or characters are for me. And I love stories where the MC's are unlikeable or unreliable narrators

I've been thinking about this for quite some time and I'm really trying to bond more with others, but I've been having a bit of a hard time with it tbh. I'm a very reserved person in general and it takes me a while to really open up to others (and I'm anxious to post this but here I go lol).
so with this I'm trying to shout into the void for others to introduce themselves! I really want to make more friends on here and would love to get to know more of you and maybe some of you can find folks with the same interests too ❤️
what I especially would like to know about you 🫵:
📚what are your favourite books and why? 😺cats or dogs? (or neither?👀)
As for me, I'm jessie from germany and I'd say I read a broad range of genres, my favourite being fantasy! I'm currently getting into robin hobbs realm of the elderlings and am impatiently waiting for dead beat by leigh bardugo to come out. Also I'm trying to get more into horror, so I'd be happy if any of you had a suggestions for me! I have japanese gothic and the eyes are the best part available rn 👀
My favourite books of all time are probably the inheritance cycle aka eragon and the mediator by meg cabot, which are both most likely very based on nostalgia but I think about them regularly lol. I also really, really love anything miss bardugo writes, but I do love six of crows and ninth house the most 🐍🐇 AND!! honorable mention to the familiar which I liked a lot too!
Apart from books I'm an avid gaming, movie and tv series enjoyer! I love anything horror like resident evil, but here I enjoy many different genres. I most recently saw the new spider-man and obsession which were both absolutely breathtaking in different ways iykyk. Next week I'm going to go watch the new insidious movie!

Four love interests...FOUR LOVE INTERESTS
AND THEY'RE ALL THE WRONG OPTION
Every man was a psycho. Every major side character was an asshole. NOBODY WAS LIKABLE
Being in Alexis's head was unbearable, and I wish I was not as stubborn as I am and just threw in the towel
But I didn't CAUSE I'M STUPID
