This was my first Ali Hazelwood book, and I finally understand the hype now. Her writing style is quirky, fun, and ridiculously easy to fly through.
Olive was relatable at times but also annoying with her endless assumptions and questionable life choices. Adam, on the other hand, had me with his sarcasm and dry humor from page one. Their chemistry was so good, it had me blushing and grinning like an idiot over the smallest moments.
The author also did such a great job of showing how different they are while still being incredibly similar deep down.
“Your favorite color.” “My favorite color?” “Yep.” There was a crease between his eyes. “I—don’t know?” “What do you mean you don’t know?” “They’re colors. They’re all the same.”
“Favorite color?” Olive opened her mouth to tell him her favorite color, which was so much better than his, and... “Dammit.” He gave her a knowing look. “Difficult, isn’t it?” “There are so many good ones.”
And this was one of the many moments like this!
P.S. how does it even work that a guy can be so rude he makes his students cry but turns into the softest person around you? Can they actually exist like that? 😭

I have been stuck on 20-30% of this book and I really can’t move from here for last 1,5 year. I think I left one book in my life as DNF and it’s killing me. Should I continue? I need motivation 😭😭

If I read about that Adirondack chair one more time I might start seeing it in my dreams.
