guys. that was so good :') I was really excited to read this book, but was definitely also a little apprehensive. I've heard lots of mixed reviews, and lots about how slow and sometimes boring it is, but I couldn't disagree more. Or maybe I could? I don't know how to describe it. I think if you go into it looking for a fast-paced, exciting read, you may not get what you're looking for, but going into it without any expectations was perfect. I kept waiting for "the lull" in the middle of the book, but never found it, not that it was grappling throughout, but steady. It was just such an enjoyable read, such beautiful writing, and such an easy world to get to know. Isn't that the point!!! Fast-paced, energetic books certainly have their moments, but this felt like what reading used to feel like, you know? anyways, I loved it :)
