Read this as part of my research into my dissertation and I loved it. Preciado was so well spoken and every argument was brought forward so well, it was ridiculous the way he was treated by his audience.
This is a very important report that I believe all people should at least attempt to read, and it really put into words so many things that I feel about myself.

I don’t even know where to start.
M. L. Wang had me hooked from the very first words, and it was almost impossible to set this down (other than the few days I needed to process the truth of the Otherrealm).
From it’s themes of oppression and misogyny, to the world building and philosophy of each character, it is a wonderfully crafted novel. There isn’t a single aspect of it that fell short in any way, and I know this will be one that will stay with me for a while. I haven’t felt so attached to characters (nor have I cried so much) since I finished Babel, and I can definitely see the similarities drawing me to both of these stories.
Wonderfully incredible, very unique, and endlessly thought-provoking, and I love the final ideas that Wang leaves us with: “the worthwhile run was not the sprint.”

Man, Hamlet’s reflection and remembrance of his parent’s relationship is moving 🥲
“… so loving to my mother that he might not beteem the winds of heaven visit her face too roughly”
Loving his dialogue so far.

I finally got around to it, after three years of owning a copy, and what can I say that hasn’t already been said.
I really enjoyed the themes of power and death, and how no matter what we do and who we are in life, we are all returned to the earth, and the skull of a king becomes unrecognisable from that of a beggar’s.
My favourite scenes were in 2.2, when Hamlet laments his lack of courage to truly take action against Claudius, and in 4.7, when the Queen describes the death of Ophelia. I though the description was the most delicate and beautiful of the entire play.
I love Hamlet’s character, and I would love to see a live portrayal of his complex character, but I got attached to Ophelia the most.
