Hello PBees 🐝
Hope Sunday is treating you well and you're fired up for a new week! I am not, but we are soon to enter May which comes with plenty of Bank holidays here in lovely France, making it one of our favorite month to go on W.E getaways, enjoy longer and warmer days and officially start the barbecue season 🥰
I personally love to find fellow Frenchies here so I'm always on the look out, and for me a telltale you might be French is... 🥁 Typography! It's not a surefire but we are one of the few countries that uses spaces before most punctuation signs, even other French speaking countries don't necessarily follow this rule. So if you write "For sure !", "Anybody knows ?", "Here are my picks :" etc, you probably are French 😉
Be on the lookout if you want to stay incognito as there is no space in front of any punctuation signs in English 🫣 I've been considering keeping this knowledge to myself so I can keep spotting some of you 😈 But sharing is caring, and I'm also very curious about other countries too!!
So my questions are:

Which, in your opinion, is the biggest reading red flag? 👀🚩
1 - Saying audiobooks don't count 2 - Generalizing an entire group of readers based on a genre they like (eg dark romance readers) 3 - Bragging about never DNFing like it's a moral achievement 4 - Calling every popular book "overhyped" on principle 5 - Acting personally victimized when a flawed character has the nerve to be flawed 6 - Other, tell us yours

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.
