“…it drives her mad, the idea that the shape of her body determines the shape her life must take, that her beauty is something she is expected to pass on instead of keep, that anything she makes will thrive while she is left to wither.” Well, that hurts.

I usually read in physical format, but I've recently started to read more digital. Mostly because I'm in a sort of exchange program abroad and don't have access to my books at home, and since I wanted to get back to my reading habits, reading PDFs on my phone turned out to be comfortable for me - now I want an actual E reader!
The thing is, I obviously found my PDFs online and didn't pay for them and while browsing for e reader options I saw many comments of people saying how easy it is to transfer your PDFs into the reader, and sharing tips and telegram groups to get free epubs.
While I absolutely don't shame anyone who reads free downloaded books (I've done it myself many times) and would never judge them, I kept over analyzing myself. Why do I feel guilty for not paying? Why do I do it anyways? Why am I taking notes on the telegram groups for when I buy the e reader?
Has anyone felt in a similar way? 😩 What are your opinions on this?
