I struggle sum up my thoughts on Leech. It started slow but the mystery was engaging, threads of the plot wove through one another and came to a conclusion that was satisfying and yet I don’t have many feelings about it. I felt some parts dragged. I also felt like I would’ve loved this more as a novella. I know some reviewers thought it should be longer but I think if there had been more left unsaid I would have liked it more. The world was the strongest part and yet while I know a lot of the lore and of different locations I also feel like I only saw small glimpses and never really got rooted into place. It is definitely gothic and interesting, I could feel the cold and the suspense as I read and overall it was enjoyable. I loved both the MC and Emile, but beyond that I don’t have much to say!
