I'm listening to the multicast audiobook so I'm not sure which of the 3 narrators it is, but I find the first one narrating Maria's part has a very quick pace. At first, I thought I had mistakenly put it to 1.2/1.5x speed, but it's just her natural pace. I find it a bit hard to follow, maybe because I'm not native... It's unfortunate, otherwise I like her voice and style.. Actually, the second narrator for Alice also has a quick pace, and although I love the Scottish accent, it's not the easiest to my ear especially at this pace..
I'm pretty used to listening to audiobooks in English so I'm a bit confused, I sometimes speed them myselft but I can't slow them here (only 0.5x, unbearable).
Did anyone have the same experience? Did it become a deal breaker? For audiobook enjoyers, would you recommend another version?

fredrik backman has a way of tugging at my heartstrings that no author has been able to do, and idk if that’s a blessing or a curse. This was a very refreshing read from a father’s pov of fatherhood and what it means to be a parent and the love you have for your children.

i listened to the audiobook of this and the narrator did a fantastic job of bringing life to this story!!
the way P. Djèlí Clark wrote the demons made my skin crawl and the fight scenes were incredible. as a novella it delivered as if it was a full length novel and from beginning to end i was engrossed in the story and characters!

i was very excited and scared to read this after finishing Six of crows, Crooked Kingdom was a very slow start for me and honestly i did not care about the main plot of this book compared to the first.
i absolutely ADORE the crows, they mean so much to me. i really only cared about reading about them and their struggles, relationships, pasts, and dreams. if you would have given me a book with no plot but just them living their lives i would have been happy and fulfilled
i did sob and feel a lot of emotions while reading this so while it is a 3.5 this did move me in ways that a 5 star read does, but again because of the main plot it is unfortunately a low rating for me 💔
