These Witches Don’t Burn Series by Isabel Sterling - fun witchy book (also lowkey YA but not in a painful way) with a lot of lgbtqia+ rep but the main character is a lesbian! this series would have been so cool to have growing up. 😭
Plain Bad Heroines, by Emily Danforth: I feel like there aren’t many Sapphic horrors out there (or is there? If so pls lmk) so this another recommendation of mine bc duh but it’s hefty, lots of context type of read but the story is fun/interesting and the characters are cute and sapphic! It very much gives gothic romance with accompanying horror elements 🙂↕️🖤 overall a good time!
Gideon The Ninth series by Tamsyn Muir - holy hell yes! the most fun you can have in a sapphic horror / fantasy mash up?!
Okay thank you for your consideration! 💕

this book was sick in many ways but wow, what a story. there was a lot of lore and as much as I love me some background, it felt like a lot at times. for me this book wasn’t an easy read during a busy time in life. I couldn’t enjoy it for a quick read here and there but when I had the time to dedicate hours to it, I would get enveloped! What a wild ride that left me wanting more?? I kind of expected the end to have a little more umph! I wanted the end of the familial ties to the order to be a bit more graphic. Or at least as graphic, if not more than all the child abuse. That part was rough to get through but still a solid horror intertwined with history. Overall I enjoyed it!!
