Okay friends i'm coming to you with a specific ask... i want to read at least ONE romance for VDay, something sweet but no spice. I typically just skim over anything smutty in books (i'm just not a fan), but i really want a cute lil romance to read without having to skim over anything 🥲🥲💗💗 i'm having some trouble finding something please help!

I have tried only a handful of audiobooks, but for some reason I just can't get into them. I think the narrator is fine, but there is this odd quietness that surrounds me whenever I listen. It is too quiet!! I understand they are in a booth and noise canceling is a thing, but I just cannot get over it 😭😭 does anyone else feel the same or have a similar experience?
I think the only one I was really fine with listening was the Ali Hazelwood's Two Can Play, but I think that was a special case because it did not have a physical book at the time...

And the way I keep hitting the 5-post limit when I’m reading a book??? I’ll be mid-spiral and suddenly it’s like “no more posts for today” and I’m screaming LET ME INNNN I HAVE MORE TO SAYYY 🤧

My search queries are utterly failing me today, so posting this here in hopes maybe someone will know: would there happen to be a kind of pear tree that only grows, or at least only grows well, in the South? Extra points if it's found primarily in Florida. Thanks for your time, whether or not you know the answer <3

It’s time. We’re saying it out loud.
What trope makes you immediately reconsider your life choices when you see it in a synopsis?
The chosen one? Love triangles? Amnesia? Insta-love? The "I can fix him" dynamic?
Confess your literary pet peeves below. This is your safe space to vent.

My first ever book was "Emily Windsnap" by Liz Kessler. But for some odd reason, it wasn't really my favourite and made me hate books cause I got forced to read it. I found it when I was at school and they brought a bunch of books that we could order from a bookstore. I saw it and I got interested cause at that time I loved mermaids and anything connected to the ocean. (I still love the ocean). Later on, I realised I didn't like reading in my native language which is greek, and I stopped for a really long time. I then finished the book in the next summer, cause my phone kept dying and I had nothing else to do at my grandma's house. As I said this book wasn't the one for me and didn't get me into reading. The one that actually actually got me into reading, is "Percy Jackson the Sea of Monsters" by Rick Riordan. I LOVED the PJO series SO MUCH and after watching it I really wanted the books. So on a random birthday party, where it was happening at a mall, my friend had told me she saw Percy Jackson books in the book section of a store. So we went there and I got the book! Sadly though I had a really huge reading slump, while reading it. But I finished it eventually and realised I actually liked reading books! So I told my mom I wanted to go get 2 new books and got "Circe" by Madeline Miller and "Once Upon a broken heart" by Stephanie Garber. And boom my whole book love started. So moral of the story is theres always a book out there for everyone no matter what. Just don't give up and you'll eventually find your favourite type of genre in a book! ⚜️

Is there a way to avoid seeing all posts or updates about specific books?
I have all the Harry Potter books (for example) set to Mute Posts In Feed but they still show up in my Following feed.
Am I missing a step?
Thanks!

what books were you OBSESSED with as a kid? I'm trying to build a book tour list of all the books I read and loved as a kid, but the more I look, the more I realize that I read sooo many that I'm struggling to remember ALL the books I really loved.

It is Wednesday my dudes👋🏻
It’s time for Who’s Who Wednesday where every Wednesday we introduce ourselves and make new friends. This is possibly part 16.
Jadelovesbooks originally started this. These were some of my favorite posts to read through so I'd like to bring it back if that's cool (or if these were ended on purpose, let me know and I'll remove this).
If you participated in any of the times before, you don’t have to introduce yourself again but you can share some different facts about you, an opinion you have, or how your week is going.
If you’re new, introduce yourself!
I’ll go first.
My name is Wibbily. I have a 25-year-old scar on my left arm from when the family cat scratched me as a kid (not her fault, she got spooked while sitting in my lap and scratched me by accident).
